Maryville, MO – On December 19, 2012, the Maryville Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously voted to adopt the Maryville Comprehensive Plan as the official plan to guide all future aspects of development and redevelopment in the community. The plan was adopted by Resolution No. 599 in accordance with Chapter 89.360 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.

In early 2011, the City of Maryville hired RDG Planning & Design to develop the plan through an extensive public participation process and by studying existing conditions and possible future growth. The Maryville Comprehensive Plan is a 109 page document intended to guide residential and economic development, community health and connectivity, community image and identity, transportation and movement, and public facility improvements in order to preserve and improve the quality of life in Maryville.

A copy of the Maryville Comprehensive Plan is available for viewing in the City Clerk’s Office and Office of the Nodaway County Recorder of Deeds during normal business hours. The plan is also available to the public online at www.maryville.org/compplan.

The Maryville Comprehensive Plan will be actively used by City Staff, Planning & Zoning Commission, and City Council as a guide and vision for the community moving forward. The City of Maryville would like to thank RDG Planning & Design, the Steering Committee, Planning & Zoning Commission, City Council, and all citizens of Maryville that were involved in providing input during the development period of the document.
